Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha's Botanical Center is an urban oasis and a living museum of four-season plant displays.

In 1982, a site of natural woods and rolling terraces on a bluff just west of the Missouri River was selected as the garden's location. Construction began in 1995 on the rose garden and other early gardens soon followed, including a shade hosta garden, herb garden, children's garden and spring flowering walk.  The garden's total acreage is now 100 acres, and since opening, a wide variety of new specialty garden areas have been added each year.

A walk or tram ride through Lauritzen Gardens is definitely a multi-sensory experience for all ages.

An annual antiques show is held at the Garden.
